Hello, ADAM

A new process called ADAM (Atomic Diffusion Additive Manufacturing) brings metal 3D printing into mainstream manufacturing for the first time ever at an affordable price. 3DOps supplies mechanical properties equivalent to cast metal parts. These parts can replace traditional plastic injection molds, machined jaws and fixtures, and shorten the product development cycle by months. A part that has typically taken weeks or months to manufacture can now be 3D printed in 24 hours.

Your Metal Parts, Faster

Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger.

ADAM prints your part using a bound metal powder that transforms into a dense metal part in one easy step. Bulk sintering provides crystal growth through all axes giving your parts excellent mechanical properties in all directions.

ADAM enables the creation of unique geometries such as closed-cell honeycomb infill. Parts can be printed like the structure of bones – a closed cell inner core encased in a solid outer shell. This geometry is not possible using traditional subtractive manufacturing processes.

Materials

17-4 & 303 Stainless Steel

For demanding tooling and fixturing applications, Stainless Steel is the perfect blend of high strength, corrosion resistance and hardness. It’s used widely in the aerospace, medical and petroleum industries

A-2 & D-2 Tool Steel (Beta)

A-2 Tool Steel is air-hardened making it a great solution for injection molding tooling and dies. The high carbon and chromium content of D-2 Tool Steel provides great hardness and abrasion resistance – it’s often used for cutting tools

6061 & 7075 Aluminum (Beta)

Aluminum combines good machinability, strength, and weldability. It’s the go-to solution for manufacturing applications such as jigs, jaws, tools and fixtures

Titanium Ti-6Al-4V (Beta)

Ideal for lightweight applications, Titanium has both high tensile strength and fatigue resistance. This bio-compatible material is widely used in medical applications such as orthopedic joint replacements

Carbon Fiber

The highest strength to weight ratio of our reinforcing fibers. Six times stronger and eighteen times stiffer than Onyx, Carbon Fiber reinforcement is commonly used for parts that replace machined aluminum.

Fiberglass

Entry level continuous fiber, providing high strength at an accessible price. 2.5 times stronger and eight times stiffer than Onyx, Fiberglass reinforcement results in strong, robust tools.

HSHT Fiberglass

Five times as strong and seven times as stiff as fiberglass, High Strength High Temperature (HSHT) Fiberglass is best used for parts loaded in high operating temperatures.

Kevlar

Kevlar possesses excellent durability, making it optimal for parts that experience repeated and sudden loading. As stiff as fiberglass and much more ductile, it’s best used for end of arm tooling.

Carbon Fiber

Carbon Fiber can be used in multiple applications. These parts are printed 50% faster than machining and are 20 times less expensive. Why machine fixtures and tooling when they can be printed? Printed carbon fiber parts are actually stronger than 6061 aluminum, they weigh 40% less, and they can survive the production environment.

Load bearing applications requiring real strength can be printed faster and cheaper than machining metal. Keep your production line running at full speed. Reduce lead time and cost by getting parts printed the same day! Print new tools and functional replacements for old or worn parts.

Replace machined aluminum with carbon fiber.
